Ex Chelsea Calls Mo Salah Similar to Messi in Training Session

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Mohamed Salah is indeed not a figure to be reckoned with when he was with Chelsea. However, the Egyptian national received special recognition from his former teammate Filipe Luis.

Luis came to Chelsea in the summer of 2014 when Jose Mourinho took the helm. Meanwhile, Salah landed six months earlier at Stamford Bridge.

Ironically, the two players suffered very similar fates. Salah and Luis failed to steal Mourinho’s attention to win a place in the core squad.

Luis, who was brought in from Atletico Madrid, was unable to compete with Cesar Azpilicueta. Meanwhile, Salah must give place to famous names such as Frank Lampard, Willian and Eden Hazard.

Even so, Salah was able to steal the attention in the training session. Luis admitted that the Chelsea defenders, including himself, often had difficulty guarding Salah.

“I was made to suffer by Salah while training. Really, in training he is like Messi, ask anyone,” said Filipe Luis as quoted by the Guardian.

But Salah’s prowess in training sessions still doesn’t seem to convince Mourinho and give him more opportunities. This finally made the player choose to go to Fiorentina at half the season on loan.

The wrong decision made Luis disappointed. But in the end, he also followed in the footsteps of his teammate.

“When he went to Fiorentina, I asked him the reason, then he said he needed to play. I thought this kid was great because he never made money, but he went to show that he could play. “

Luis’s admission regarding Salah’s quality was finally proven. The player is now a frightening player and has managed to restore Liverpool’s heyday.
