Ex-Chelsea Suggested The Blues To Not Stop Looking For Quality Players

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Chelsea have succeeded in bringing Hakim Ziyech and one more step to recruit Timo Werner. But that does not mean The Blues must be satisfied, the club were advised to keep looking for quality players.

Ziyech will be brought by Chelsea from Ajax for 40 million euros. After Ziyech, reportedly RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner is soon joining in with a transfer fee of 54 million euros.

But Chelsea haven’t even been separated from other transfer rumors. The west London team is still linked with Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell and Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz.

Havertz specifically, this season he was targeted by many other top European clubs such as Manchester United, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid. He appeared 38 times in all competitions this season, scoring 15 goals and eight assists.

Former Chelsea midfielder Craig Burley believes management must perform all-out in the transfer market. That will be a big statement from Roman Abramovich’s club heading for a new season.

“You cannot feel enough with good players. That will be a statement of intention to get out and get one of the most attractive young talents in Europe,” he told ESPN as quoted by Metro.

“It fits the narrative that Chelsea and Lampard are stealing the attention. They are trying to recruit young players with good resale value, but also can produce good performance.”

“If they get Werner, he can play wide or stab in the middle. Havertz is also flexible. They might be a bit too aggressive going forward, in term of their attacking path,” he continued.

“But the transfer will be a statement from Abramovich, to reveal ‘We have given you Werner and we also want Havertz’, one of the brightest talents in European football.”

“That is a very interesting sign for Chelsea fans, but I doubt they will be alone in the competition as Havertz may be on everyone’s radar,” Burley said.
