Exciting match between Liverpool vs Manchester United, Guardiola: Not Interested
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Week 23 of the Premier League will present an exciting match between Liverpool against Manchester United on Sunday (1/19/2020). Many pairs of eyes fixed on the match except Manchester City coach, Josep Guardiola.
Manchester City will compete against Crystal Palace on Saturday (1/18). That way, Pep Guardiola had the opportunity to watch Liverpool versus Manchester United.
Liverpool’s match against Manchester United has important meaning for The Citizens. Apart from involving a neighboring city, the match could also make the 14-point gap between Man City and Liverpool cut.
Nevertheless, Pep Guardiola did not want to be distracted by the other teams’ matches. According to Guardiola, Manchester City has fallen too far from Liverpool.
“The situation is we are too far behind. We have accepted the current situation. Liverpool won 20 matches and is leading all leagues in the world, not just the Premier League,” Guardiola said as reported by Goal.
“It’s better we focus on Zaha, Ayew and Crystal Palace. Then, on Tuesday, we will fight Sheffield United. Being left behind means it’s not interesting to see what Liverpool are doing.”
Pep Guardiola indicates Manchester City will shift its focus to other events. “It is better to focus on what can be improved for the rest of the Premier League and other events,” Guardiola said.
Manchester City has won seven of the last nine matches against Crystal Palace. Meanwhile, the other two matches ended with one win plus one draw.
