Experienced Injury, Mbappe Absent in the Champions League Quarterfinals
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Paris Saint Germain’s young striker Kylian Mbappe has been ruled out for three weeks due to an ankle injury when his team won the French Cup final on Friday (24/7) against St Etienne.
As a result of the injuries he’s suffering, the 21-year-old player was also confirmed absent from defending Les Parisiens in the quarter-finals of the Atalanta Champions League contract on Wednesday (12/8).
“Today’s scan results confirmed an ankle sprain with damage to the external ligament. The player is expected to pull over for about three weeks,” PSG general said on his website.
Loic Perrin’s rough tackle made the St Etienne defender hit Mbappe’s ankle, which made Mbappe collapsed in pain before being substituted by another player.
Perrin was sent off for a foul in the match which PSG won 1-0.
