DBasia.news – FC Barcelona did a shocking transfer. Blaugrana lend Kevin-Prince Boateng from Sassuolo until the season ends.
“Barcelona and Sassuolo have reached an agreement for the loan of Kevin Prince-Boateng for the remainder of the 2018-19 season. The deal includes the option to buy the player for 8m euros (£7.1m),” Barca wrote in their official statement.
Boateng is a multifunction player that could play as the striker and attacking midfielder. He has a lot of experiences in Tottenham Hotspur, Borussia Dortmund, Portsmouth, AC Milan, Schalke, Las Palmas, and Eintracht Frankfurt.
The creator of 2 goals from 15 caps with Ghana national team was loaned by Barca to fill the gap after Munir El Haddadi left to Sevilla. Boateng would be the option and rival for Luis Suarez.
“Boateng is a player who versatile to a fault. During his time with Las Palmas with Quique Setién as coach he played as an out and out striker, a typical number ‘9’. However, he is also able to play further back as he did at AC Milan, scoring twice against Barça in his time with the Rossoneri,” Barca wrote in their article.
“His ability to bring people into the game means he is excellent at playing behind the main striker,” the statement continued.
Boateng previously promised to support Barcelona to score the goal toward their rival, Real Madrid in the Clasico match.
“I’m sad to leave Sassuolo but it’s a great chance. Don’t ask me about Real Madrid … it’s just the past. I only want to focus on Barcelona, and I hope to score at the Bernabéu (in) the next Clásico,” Boateng said.
