Ferguson proposes Pochettino to replace Solskjaer at Manchester United

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson reportedly wants Mauricio Pochettino as the Red Devils’ next manager if the club finally fires Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Solskjaer’s position as United’s architect is at least safe for the next few weeks, although the team has achieved a number of disappointing results recently, including being defeated by Liverpool five goals without reply last weekend.

Solskjaer will continue to coach the team in the match against Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League, Sunday (30/10).

According to the news that has been developing in England lately, Ferguson has suggested that Solskjaer has one last chance to turn his fortunes around in the games against Spurs, Atalanta and Manchester City before the international break.

According to the Daily Star, Pochettino, who is currently in charge of Paris Saint-Germain, is Ferguson’s first choice as a candidate to replace Solskjaer if the Norwegian coach fails to change the team’s conditions.

Pochettino’s future with PSG is also in doubt after the French giants put in an underwhelming performance in Ligue 1 at the start of the 2021/22 season.

The 49-year-old coach had coached Tottenham Hotspur for five years, although he failed to bring a trophy to the London club.

United are reportedly also deliberating with Italian coach Antonio Conte, who left Inter Milan this summer after winning Italy’s Serie A.
