Firing Grosso, Brescia Returns to Bringing in Corini
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Serie A club Brescia, Monday (2/12), dismissed coach, Fabio Grosso, who only led for three matches. The official Brescia website states they will bring back Eugenio Corini who was fired less than a month ago.
In fact, Corini is a figure who was replaced by Grosso when appointed on November 5.
Under Grosso’s direction, Brescia always lost three matches, including when they were beaten by Atalanta 0-3 at the Mario Rigamonti Stadium in the 14th week match, Saturday (11/30) AM.
“Thank you so much to Grosso and his staff for their work and the professionalism shown,” wrote the official statement of Brescia.
“The new head coach of Brescia is Eugenio Corini. The agreement was reached after a long and deep meeting between Corini and President Brescia, Massimo Cellino,” the same statement continued.
Corini is actually a coach who was instrumental in helping Brescia’s promotion by winning the Serie B last season. However, he was dismissed on November 3 shortly after losing to fellow Verona promotion teams.
Now, Brescia has slumped as a caretaker of the Italian League standings with a record of seven points after passing nine games without a win.
Corini will start his second tenure as
Brescia head coach with a visit to the SPAL headquarters in the Week 15 Italian
League match, Sunday (8/12).
