Saturday (12/9) Neymar officially announced that he had a contract with Puma. The announcement was made with the headline ‘King is back’.

Neymar joining Puma also follows in the footsteps of a number of the world’s top stars who have been sponsored. Call it Pele, Eusebio, Maradona, Johan Cruyff, and Lothar Matthaus.

“I want to have exciting experiences, new challenges. I feel lucky to be able to experience both. I grew up watching videos of great football legends like Pele, Cruyff, Matthaus, Eusebio and Maradona. They are all kings on the pitch, kings of this sport, “said Neymar on his Instagram account.

“Neymar is one of the best players in the world and has a huge influence in global football. We are excited to be working with him, on and off the pitch,” stated Puma CEO, Bjorn Gulden, as quoted from the US diario.
