For the Sake of Joining Arsenal, Coutinho Willing to Cut Salary
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Arsenal are trying hard to bring in Philippe Coutinho. The Gunners even set up a 27 million euro fund to recruit him on loan from Barcelona.
As is known, Coutinho seems to have no future in Barcelona. The continuation of the former Inter Milan player’s career became unclear after Bayern Munich was reluctant to permanent his status.
Barcelona actually want to sell Coutinho permanently. But they realize that not many clubs are able to redeem his exorbitant price tag.
Therefore, Barcelona opens the opportunity to lend Coutinho. As reported by Sport, Blaugrana set the price of 20 million euros as the borrowing cost for one full season.
But Barcelona also asked the interested clubs to provide additional money of 10 million euros. These funds will be used to pay Coutinho’s salary.
Arsenal who failed miserably in the Premier League this season are interested in signing Coutinho. They are even ready to compete with Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City, who are also interested in the 28-year-old player.
Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta was said to have asked Arsenal officials directly to make this happen. Coutinho is projected to fill the role of Mesut Ozil as the creator of attacks.
Coutinho is reportedly also interested in moving to Arsenal. He is even thinking of cutting his salary in order to smoothen his move to the Emirates Stadium.
Coutinho’s arrival will certainly be a significant additional force for Arsenal. Besides having quality, the player also has the experience of appearing in the Premier League with Liverpool so that no need for more adaptation time.
