Former Manchester United player says Arsenal’s movement in the transfer market is excessive

DBasia.news – Former Manchester United player who is now continuing his career as a commentator, Gary Neville, expressed his opinion about Arsenal’s movement in the transfer market. According to him, the Gunners were a little excessive.

Arsenal became the Premier League team that spent the most in the transfer market this summer. The Gunners disbursed 150 million euros or around Rp. 2.9 trillion to get new ammunition. Some of the players who joined were Ben White, Martin Odegaard, and Takehiro Tomiyasu.

According to Neville, Arsenal’s decision was beyond reasonable. Moreover, so far Arsenal are also still at the bottom of the Premier League standings.

“I’m not sure about Arsenal’s strategy (in the transfer market). It looks like they’re a bit exaggerated. Maybe there is one, but it’s still unclear,” Neville said on Sky Sports.

Arsenal’s movement was considered to be not well directed. Transfer interpreter, Edu, began to receive criticism for what was achieved this summer.

“Sometimes you can sign players on the left wing and you can see where they are coming from. However, some of them are from Arsenal.”

“I’m not sure what style of play I want. Everything will be seen in the next few weeks,” said Neville.

Neville also compared Arsenal with Manchester United. Both teams were left by a legendary coach.

“Manchester United started out from Sir Alex Ferguson’s era. It was challenging. Meanwhile, Arsenal will also suffer in the future because of the strength of Arsene Wenger’s era,” added Neville.

“You want to make the club progress. Man United have started almost 10 years ago. Meanwhile, Arsenal are still in the same element.”
