Former PSG Says Messi Must Be Able to Serve Mbappe as Senior
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Former Paris Saint-Germain player, Nicolas Anelka, believes that Lionel Messi must serve Kylian Mbappe more. Because, Mbappe is more senior than Messi at PSG.
Lionel Messi joined from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain this summer. The 34-year-old striker came on a free transfer. Previously, Barcelona and Messi failed to find a way to register as a new player to LaLiga.
It is feared that Messi’s arrival to PSG will dim the light of other star players such as Kylian Mbappe. Understandably, when he was at Barcelona, Messi became the most important player.
So far, however, that concern has not materialized. Because, when Mbappe has scored four goals and four assists, Messi has not opened the tap.
Commenting on this, Anelka felt that now was the time for Messi to play to serve Mbappe. In addition, Mbappe also deserves respect from La Pulga.
“Mbappe has to lead the attack because he is number one. Messi was at Barcelona, but now he has to serve Kylian Mbappe. He has been at the club for five years and Messi has to respect him,” Anelka told Le Parisiens.
Anelka also touched on the issue that said Mbbape wanted to leave PSG to move to Real Madrid. Anelka realized that Mbappe did this because he wanted to be the best player.
“He’s a phenomenal player in terms of speed. There is no one better on this planet. If PSG want to have the best striker, they have to do everything they can to keep him,” said Anelka.
“However, I think it’s very clear in Mbappe. He wants to see something else and that makes sense.”
“He dreams of the Ballon d’Or and how to win it if he is sixth (now fifth) in the league according to UEFA coefficients. If Mbappe had been in England or Spain for the last three years, he would have won the Ballon d’Or.”
