DBasia.news – Former Real Madrid player, Royston Drenthe was declared bankrupt by the court. The 33-year-old player admited that he didn’t care.

Drenthe was one of the talents who were eagerly awaited by his progress at Real Madrid. He was brought in by Los Blancos from Feyenoord in 2007 for 14 million euros.

But in the process, the player who operated as a defender or left wing was less competitive than the rapidly growing Marcelo. Drenthe only lasted three seasons in Madrid, making 65 appearances with four goals and five assists.

Since then his career faded and he moved clubs. Starting from strengthening Hercules, Everton, Alania, Reading, Sheffield Wednesday, Kayseri Erciyesspor, Baniyas, Sparta Rotterdam, to Kozakken Boys in the third division of the Dutch League.

Well, Marca reported that Royston Drenthe was declared bankrupt by the Zeeland-West Brabant District Court on December 1.

“I don’t know the details, and I don’t know exactly what is going on. But if this is true, I think it’s not important,” Drenthe told Voelbalzone as reported by Marca.

For now, Drenthe will be constantly monitored on his financial condition. In addition, someone will also be assigned to control the assets of the former Real Madrid player.
