Formerly Being Chased, Now MU Ignore Jadon Sancho
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Former Arsenal player Ian Wright has questioned why Manchester United bought Jado Sancho if he was just a substitute for the bench.
Manchester United have been chasing Jadon Sancho for the past few seasons. However, the interest of the Red Devils was only received by Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021. Man United disbursed 85 million euros to get Sancho.
However, high prices do not guarantee Jadon Sancho penetrate the first team. So far, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has only played Sancho 12 times. The minutes of playing the English footballer were only 520 minutes.
“Manchester United chased Jadon Sancho in recent years. Then, you get Sancho, but he doesn’t play,” said Wright on The Kelly and Wrighty Show.
“They play with full-backs. So why buy a winger like Sancho. Why did Manchester United buy Sancho?”
“Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has to know what he wants from his team. Manchester United need more from the right side. Man United brought in Sancho, but the player couldn’t get into the team.”
Apart from Jadon Sancho, Donny van de Beek also experienced the same thing. The Dutch midfielder did not get the playing minutes as expected. In fact, Man United spent a lot of money to get Van de Beek.
