Franck Kessie’s future is in the hands of AC Milan director
By db-admin
DBasia.news – The polemic regarding Franck Kessie’s future with AC Milan has entered a new chapter. The player’s agent issued a statement that added to the situation.
Kessie’s contract expires in the summer of next year. However, the Ivory Coast international playe has long expressed his loyalty to the Rossoneri.
Ironically, the contract extension negotiations reached a dead end. Kessie and Milan’s management reportedly have not reached an agreement regarding the salary amount.
According to reports from Italy, Kessie is demanding a significant wage increase. It cannot be separated from his status as one of Milan’s key players in the midfield.
Milan’s own management is said to be ready to pay Kessie 6.5 million euros per season in a new contract. This amount is almost three times the current salary of the player.
This rumor was also confirmed to Kessie’s agent, George Atangana. The person concerned was also present in the stands when Milan won 3-2 at Atalanta headquarters.
“Ask the director (about Kessie’s contract extension). I’m just here to watch the game,” Atangana told Telelombardia.
The figure Atangana is referring to is Paolo Maldini, who now serves as Milan’s technical director. He is responsible for the transfer policy of Il Diavolo Rosso including the extension of Kessie’s contract.
This condition has certainly start to make Milan fans worry. They are certainly still traumatized after their idol team lost two key players for free.
The figures in question are Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu. The two players chose to move to another club for free because they were unhappy with the salary offered by Milan on their new contract.
