Frank Lampard is Happy Mason Mount Called by England national team

Mason Mount –  Chelsea is still looking for consistency in their game at the start of the 2019/20 Premier League season. Even so, Mason Mount’s performance stole the attention.

After returning from his loan spell with Derby County, the 20-year-old was immediately a mainstay of Frank Lampard and even successfully scored in the last two matches.

Earlier in the preseason, he also successfully performed neatly and scored several times, including when the Blues beat St Patricks and Reading.

This then made Gareth Southgate decided to call him to the England squad who will compete in the Euro 2020 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Kosovo. Lampard also felt confident that the foster children would show maximum performance and be able to deal with pressure from various parties.

“I am convinced of the strong character that Mason Mount has. He is also a player who is always hungry for success. That (the public’s attention and much praise received) will not affect him,” Lampard said as reported by the Evening Standard.

“Yes, this is the first experience for him being called up to the senior national team when he is a Chelsea player. I am sure that Mount will continue to work hard and take responsibility for his duties. That is the important thing now,” added the 41 years old man.
