Frank Lampard’s praises Thiago Silva

DBasia.news – Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard paid tribute to center-back, Thiago Silva. Lampard was thrilled after seeing Thiago Silva’s solid performance in the match against Sheffield United.

Chelsea met Sheffield United in the 8th week of the Premier League, Sunday (8/11/2020) am. In the duel at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea won 4-1.

Four of Chelsea’s goals were scored by Tammy Abraham, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and Timo Werner. Meanwhile, one Sheffield goal was scored by David McGoldrick.

These results has now made Chelsea in third place in the Premier League standings with 15 points. Meanwhile, Sheffield slumped further at the bottom of the standings with just one point.

Apart from Hakim Ziyech, one name that has received a lot of praise is Thiago Silva. The Brazilian defender appeared solid at the back, even though he failed to bring Chelsea back to record a clean sheet.

Thiago Silva scored one goal against Sheffield. This is his first goal in the Premier League. The former PSG player proved that he was not finished even though he was 36 years and 47 days old when he scored.

“The level of his performance since he came here, without the pre-season matches, his influence on the team, the preparation between matches, how he attacks during training and how diligently he looks at opponents in meetings.”

“I talk to him a lot because he wants to know a lot of things. Then, he got his first goal. Thiago Silva had a big impact from his first day here,” stated Lampard.

Frank Lampard is thrilled with Chelsea’s performance against Sheffield. It’s not only about players who perform well as individuals, but also the team’s performance in general is considered great.

“Overall, this is our best performance so far,” added Lampard.

“Sheffield United are a very strong team. They are great at picking up momentum in the game and they do it early in the game. The reaction is important, and the team gives the right reaction,” concluded the 42-year-old manager.
