Gabriel Jesus is unlike Erling Haaland

DBasia.news – Arsenal did not make it easy for Manchester City to walk alone at the top of the Premier League standings. After The Citizens won Week 15 of the Premier League, the Gunners managed to win.
Arsenal won over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, the headquarters of the opposing team with a score of 1-0. The victory was enough to bring Mikel Arteta’s team back to the top of the standings.
Arsenal are in first place with 34 points from 13 matches and two points adrift of Man City in second place. Slowly, doubts regarding Arsenal on their chances of becoming a candidate for the Premier League title this season grew.
11 wins from 13 matches (with only one defeat) shows the result of Arsenal’s trust in Arteta. However, football pundit and former Arsenal player, Emmanuel Petit, believes that Arsenal still need additional players.
Petit is pleased with the rapid development of his former club, but he also thinks Arsenal need quality ammunition in January 2023 (winter transfer market).
Petit gave an example of the comparison of two new strikers for Arsenal and Man City, Gabriel Jesus and Erling Haaland. According to him, Jesus is not a game differencer or a player who can win games like Haaland at Man City.
“I’m happy with the way Arsenal have played since the start of the season. They deserved to win against Chelsea but I still believe there is a gap between them and Man City because of two things, the depth of the squad, you can’t compare the quality of the benches between the two sides.” Petit said as quoted from Goal.
“Secondly, Man City signed Erling Haaland to fill the void and if you compare him to Gabriel Jesus, I really like Jesus but he is not a match winner and Haaland is.”
“You could see that when he came off the bench against Fulham he made a big difference in the game and that’s the difference. Nobody knows what Arsenal will do in the next transfer window, but they need to add quality players to the squad.”
Petit predicts that Man City will still win the Premier League and Arsenal will be runners-up. “For me, Man City will win the Premier League title, Arsenal will finish second, Liverpool will finish third and I think Newcastle will beat Tottenham, Chelsea and Man United to fourth.”
