Gabriel Martinelli Print History in West Ham vs Arsenal Match
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Arsenal managed to win the match against West Ham United with a score of 3-1 at the London Stadium on Tuesday (10/12) morning. This victory broke the string of poor results achieved by Arsenal for eight matches.
Having a tough match when the team’s condition is unstable, coach Freddie Ljungberg made several changes. Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Nicolas Pepe and Gabriel Martinelli played as a starter.
The result is not too instant. Because they had left earlier in the first round. It was Angelo Ogbonna who added pressure to the Gunners through his goal in the 38th minute.
However, Freddie Ljungberg managed to bring his team up in the second half. Only within 10 minutes the Gunners successfully turned things around.
The equalizer was born from Gabriel Martinelli’s feet. This goal also became his first goal in the Premier League. Not only that, but the goal scored in the 60th minute also managed to scratch his name in the club’s history book.
The Brazilian striker became Arsenal’s youngest player to score in the Premier League as a starter. At present, he is only 18 years 174 days old.
After that, it was Nicolas Pepe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s turn to score and change the scoreboard to 3-1 for the visitors.
Despite continuing to control the game, Arsenal failed to increase the advantage. But this 3-1 score was enough to catapult their position to ninth place with 22 points. While West Ham did not move from 16th position with 16 points.
