Gary Neville Disappointed Manchester United Passive in the Summer Transfer Market

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Manchester United legend, Gary Neville was disappointed with the Red Devils’ passive movement in the 2020 summer transfer window. In fact, he urged Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team to immediately bring in three new players.

“It’s terrible, at this time of transfer activity in Premiere League history, Manchester United have not done much to sign new players,” wrote Neville.

During Mercato this summer, the Red Devils only recruited one player, namely Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Donny van de Beek. Meanwhile, the target of new players they want has not yet landed at Old Trafford Stadium.

In recent weeks, Man United has been heavily linked with Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, as well as FC Porto’s left-back, Alex Telles. However, the club management’s efforts to tie the two players have yet to find a bright spot.

Frustrated by the stretching of club transfers that never get a bar player. Neville also criticized the club management for not giving coach Solskjaer the players he wanted to be able to compete in the top flight of the Premiere League standings.

“They have to get the players that Ole wants, and center-backs and left-backs before the deadline! The others are managing to solve the problem of why MU did not do that,” concluded Neville.

After being accused of pressuring the club into panic buying by one of his followers, Neville added, the club could clearly maneuver a deal to bring in players.

Manchester United’s performance since the start of the 2020-2021 season is far from satisfactory. They lost 1-3 in the first week versus Crystal Palace. Meanwhile, despite winning in the second match against Brighton and Hove Albion, Man United had to get the three points with difficulty through the help of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) where the Red Devils were awarded a penalty.
