DBasia.news – Gary Neville commented on Manchester United’s performance against Norwich City. The MU legend thinks his club still appears sloppy and less convincing.
MU is undergoing week 16 of the 2021/2022 Premier League against Norwich City. The match took place at Carrow Road, Sunday (12/12/2021) morning WIB.
Both teams played fairly evenly throughout the 90 minutes of the match. MU recorded 13 attempts (5 on target) and 53% possession of the ball, while Norwich had 11 attempts (5 on target) and had 47% of the ball.
After a 0-0 draw until halftime, a new goal was created in the 75th minute. Cristiano Ronaldo put Manchester United ahead with a penalty.
Ronaldo’s 12 goals were the only goals created until the Norwich vs MU duel was over. The Red Devils came home with a narrow 1-0 win over The Canaries.
Manchester United’s victory at Norwich headquarters received comments from one of the club’s legends, Gary Neville. The former Manchester United and England defender said that Marcus Rashford and team’s performance could not be said to be adequate under the care of the new manager, Ralf Rangnick.
“I don’t think this is a great performance. I think they will get real problems against other teams in the league,” said Neville as quoted by the Daily Mail.
“They are going to Brentford and they have to play better than that or they will fall. But I think they will. It was strange to see what happened today with the ball and without the ball.”
“Those players have had some free time to prepare, so I expected them to step on the pedal early in the game, high pressing, fast play, but in reality they were lethargic from minute to minute.”
“They were sloppy with the ball, they lose it a lot and it’s unbelievable. The other teams in the league who played Man United today could have gotten at least a point, or maybe won the game,” Gary Neville revealed.
