DBasia.news – AC Milan achieved the additional three points or victory against the Luxembourg club, Dudelange, on the 5th-match of Europa League at San Siro, Friday (30/11).
In the match with a 5-2 result, Milan started the dominance by Patrick Cutrone at 21′ but the away team turned the situation by two goals from Dominik Stolz and David Turpel.
Luckily, Milan players could follow the situation and scored three more goals by Fabio Borini, Hakan Calhanoglu, and two own goals from Dudelange players, Stelvio and Tom Schnell.
Responding to Milan’s success, the team manager Gennaro Gattuso raised his voice and praised the strong character shown by his squad.
“After the equalizer, a bit of fear took over. We started well, but there are no easy matches. Dudelange kept trying to play and they were able to give us difficulties,” Gattuso said cited by Football Italia.
“But the important thing was to win. At 2-1 down the team reacted well and we pushed on the technical level and with character. I knew it would be hard to do,” he added.
Unfortunately, the victory hasn’t brought Gonzalo Higuain and friends secure one place in the big-32, despite staying as the runner-up of Group F temporary standing with 10 points. Olympiakos could surpass Milan with only three points away.
After this match, Rossoneri would change ths focus to Serie A competition against Parma on Sunday (2/12).
