DBasia.news – Gavi suffered a head injury and had to be rushed to hospital during Barcelona’s 1-2 loss to Real Betis. Luckily the condition of the 17-year-old player is stable.

In the 2021-2022 LaLiga continuation match at Camp Nou, Saturday (4/12), Barcelona lost 0-1 to Betis. Juanmi’s goal in the 79th minute became the differentiator between the two teams.

Gavi himself appeared as a starter in this match. However, he was withdrawn in the 36th minute with a head injury and was rushed to the hospital.

The beginning of Gavi’s injury occurred five minutes earlier. His head collided hard with Hector Bellerin’s kick.

After the incident, Gavi immediately laid on the field. But he was able to stand up and continue the match.

But it seemed to have worsen. Not long after, he suddenly collapsed on the field without any impact at all.

It’s like he lost his balance. The team of doctors suspected that Gavi had a concussion and took him to the hospital.

According to Marca’s report, the decision to take Gavi to the hospital was only a precautionary measure. Barcelona does not want one of their valuable assets to experience big problems.

After further investigation, the concussion was not proven. Gavi has been cleared to leave the hospital.

Gavi even qualified to join Barcelona’s entourage that will travel to Bayern Munich’s headquarters in the final match of the group phase, the middle of next week. This match will determine whether or not El Barca can qualify for the knockout phase.

Xavi Hernandez as Barcelona coach is certainly quite relieved by the latest news of Gavi. He needs his best players to steal victory at Munich headquarters.
