Gerard Pique Retires, Xavi Can’t Prevent It?

DBasia.news – Xavi Hernandez, Barcelona coach, opened his up regarding the decision of a Gerard Pique. He admitted that if he could not prevent his player’s decision to retire.

As is known, Pique made a surprising decision in the middle of last week. He announced the Barcelona-Almeria duel in the 2022-2023 LaLiga continued, Sunday (6/11) as his last match at the professional level.

Even though he was sincere, Xavi was quite emotional when he let go of Pique. The two had worked hand in hand as teammates for seven years.

“I was touched because all the experiences we had together as co-workers crossed my head. It was a golden age, when we won everything,” he added.

“It’s a magical night for a magical player. He’s a legend and he deserves it.”
