DBasia.news – Callum Hudson-Odoi is the target of Bayern Munchen. Bayern have offered Chelsea £30M to sign him.

Hudson-Odoi, 18, might be tempted joining Bayern as inspired by the success stories of Jadon Sancho or Serge Gnaby in Germany Bundesliga. Moreover, he seldom plays under Maurizio Sarri.

However, Sarri’s assistant Gianfranco Zola hopes Hudson-Odoi stays with Chelsea to develop his performance.

“For an 18-year-old, he’s got a lot of potentials. You have to understand the journey’s not finished. It’s not important playing straight away, playing 20 games, it’s important to develop,” Zola told Guardian.

“But he has to keep having an open mind to improve and get better day by day.”

“I know Bayern is very interested in him, but we’re interested in him as well, said the Chelsea assistant. We’ve proposed with him a contract for quite a while, so we’re waiting to see what the player thinks about that. We certainly value him as a player. I’ve already told the player: it’s not a waste of time,” Zola insisted.

Zola’s contract would end in 18 months. Zola hopes the player who was born in Wandsworth, London, November 7th, 2000, would sign the new contract with The Blues.

“I hope Callum is using this time in a wise way. It will do a very good thing for his football. Hopefully, he’ll sign a contract with us,” Zola explained.
