Gianni Infantino Calls for Demands to Get Rid of Racism from Football

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  FIGC, as the Italian Football Federation, was asked to follow Britain in cracking down on racist actors. This was expressed by Gianni Infantino, FIFA President.

As is known, the issue of racism is getting worse in Italy and has happened since last season. Moise Kean, a former Juventus, became a racial victim last season at Cagliari headquarters along with his teammate, Blaise Matuidi.

Not improving, this season it was the turn of Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku, who became a racial victim when competing against Cagliari. Latest, Fiorentina defender, Dalbert, became a racial victim when playing against Atalanta until the match was postponed.

Infantino also watched the situation in Italy. They asked all parties to fight racism and at the same time give a message to Italy, to immediately enact special rules like in England so racist actors cannot enter the stadium.

“Racialism in society or football should not exist. In Italy, the situation is not improving,” Infantino was quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

“Racism is confronted with education, discussion, and criticism. You have to know those responsible and throw them out of the stadium,” he added.

In Britain, if the security forces find racist supporters they will be punished with a life-long ban from entering the stadium.

“You need, as in England, a strict sentence. You are not afraid of racial condemnation, we all must fight them until they stop,” Infantino stressed.
