DBasia.news – Chelsea are unbeaten throughout this season and stay in the second position of Premier League temporary standing. The players could adapt quickly to Maurizio Sarri’s football philosophy.

However, it doesn’t necessarily make The Blues saved from the critics. One of their prominent strikers, Olivier Giroud, just scored once in the match against BATE for the big 32 round of Europa League, Friday (9/11).

It raised the speculation that the club will add the strength of the attacking line. Some names are included in the list, like Mauro Icardi, Suso, or Krzystof Piatek who are in Italy with Genoa.

Olivier Giroud heard this news. The former Arsenal player will prove his quality so Chelsea don’t need to recruit a new striker in January.

“All the speculation is part of the sport, part of the job. We must expect good players, good strikers at big clubs. But the both of us just need to carry on and show the team is doing well with us,” Giroud said reported by Evening Standard.

“We are fully committed to Chelsea. Even if sometimes it wasn’t perfect, I will always give my maximum,” he added.

The player who was born in Chambery, France, also insisted that he isn’t worried about his contract expiring this season. Moreover, Giroud also emphasized that he won’t fear to compete with the club if they recruit a new player.

“I’m not worried about the future and I’m sure we will score more goals for the team. It (the talk of Chelsea signing another forward) doesn’t trouble me, no. I am a competitor and I will do my best until the end of my contract,” he concluded.
