Given a Red Card, Luiz Felipe Cries

DBasia.news – Lazio defender, Luiz Felipe, could not wipe away the tears of sadness after getting a red card in the match against Inter Milan. Luiz Felipe did not accept because what he did to Joaquin Correa was just a joke.
Tensions ran high at the Stadio Olimpico after Lazio took a 2-1 lead through Felipe Anderson’s goal. The Inter Milan players did not accept because the goal was created when Federico Dimarco was lying on the field. Lazio’s players chose to continue the match rather than throw the ball away to let the medical team carry out treatment.
The situation heated up again after the long whistle sounded. Luiz Felipe was seen jumping on Joaquin Correa’s shoulder from behind to celebrate the win.
The two are known to be very close as teammates at Lazio until a few months ago. However, Correa who didn’t realize who was behind him reacted angrily.
The referee who saw this immediately gave a red card to Luiz Felipe. Then, the defender was seen crying while explaining to the referee that he was just joking.
Due to the red card, Maurizio Sarri had to rack his brains in the next match. Because, Lazio have lost Francesco Acerbi who received a ban for insulting the referee.
“Luis Felipe told me that the referee sent him out. However, he only greeted Correa, considering they were good friends for a long time. There seems to be a misunderstanding,” said Sarri as reported by Football Italia.
“Acerbi got a two-match ban for intimidating behavior without lifting a finger. So, I’m not too surprised by the red card,” continued the former Juventus coach.
