Good News for Chelsea from Reece James

By db-admin

DBasia.news – After making his debut with the Chelsea first team in the 2019-2020 season, Reece James has now received a call-up from the England national team.

England have two exemplary  right-backs namely Reece James and Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool). James is more physical and has pace in his game, while Alexander-Arnold is a good crosser and can take free kicks.

James (22 years old) has a contract until 2025 at Chelsea. However, the contract did not make other European clubs interested in James, one of which is the King of Europe and the Spanish giants, Real Madrid.

Los Blancos need a successor for Dani Carvajal and are targeting James. In response to this interest, James gave good news for Chelsea fans.

“I want to think (my future is at Stamford Bridge). “I grew up as a Chelsea fan and you know I made my name playing for Chelsea, the club I’ve always supported, but I don’t see why anything would happen,” James told BBC Sport.

“I’m playing for Chelsea now and I’m enjoying it. It’s been an exciting time. Not much has changed from the players’ or management’s point of view. I still want to win every competition and every game. There’s no reason why we can’t do that.”

James, who is currently in the United States on Chelsea’s pre-season tour, sees his team as likely to compete with Liverpool and Manchester City for the 2022-2023 Premier League title.

“Yes for sure (Chelsea can fight for the title). Last season, we had a lot of injuries,” added James.

“Me and others have been out for some time and it affected the team a lot. Around Christmas we were top of the table, injuries affected us. This season, if we stay fit and healthy. There is no reason we can’t come in and compete again,” he explained.
