DBasia.news –  Arsenal have understood the philosophy that Unai Emery applies because of the annual training by him. The Gunners midfielder, Granit Xhaka, hopes Arsenal can start the 2019/20 season well.

The Swiss player asked his teammates to step on the gas at the start of the 2019/20 season, especially in the Premier League to pursue the target of entering the top four aka the Champions League zone (if not targeting the Premier League title).

Arsenal will fight Newcastle United at St James Park (11/8). Xhaka admitted he and his other teammates were ready to play the opening match and tried to earn three points. The Arsenal players have adapted well to the playing system that Emery applies.

“We now know Unai for a year. We know how he wants to play, his philosophy and ideas. It’s not easy if you have new staff and understand their ideas quickly, but now it’s entering the second season,” Xhaka said to the Mirror.

“We know what we want, he knows us better than last season and what’s important is to start very well, to win three points in the Premier League.”

“Last season, we lost the first two games, and this season is important to start well. We started the preseason very well. We worked hard and we did a lot of tactics, points less than we were last season.”

“You can see we have good enthusiasm. The young players give everything. The players want to give them more experience, to help them. We are more united now, but in the end, we are ready to play the game against Newcastle,” concluded Xhaka.
