Granite Xhaka’s story is still not over

By db-admin

DBasia.news – FGranit Xhaka, has currently been at the club for six years since being signed from Borusia Monchengladbach when the club was coached by Arsene Wenger.

Xhaka went through ups and downs with Arsenal, was captained and had problems with the fans, but he did not give up and continued to work hard, especially to fix the disciplinary problems related to the cards he often received.

He is currently enjoying the momentum of playing in a resurgent Arsenal squad under Mikel Arteta. It seems that when the Gunners won 5-0 over Nottingham Forest in the Premier League match at the Emirates Stadium, Sunday (30/10) night WIB, Xhaka made his 200th appearance.

The 200th game was a big achievement for the Swiss national team player. It made him proud and Xhaka indicated he would stay with Arsenal much longer.

“200 games in the Premier League for this incredible football club makes me proud. It makes me proud for myself, for my team-mates, for the staff I have had in the last seven years,” Xhaka told Arsenal’s official website.

“I also feel right at home, so hopefully there are more to come. 200 games, you can’t get there in a short amount of time. It takes a lot of hard work, a lot of discipline, a lot of people who have been around me for the last seven years and in the end it was hard work.”

This season Xhaka has also been an important player for Arteta in Arsenal’s midfield. He has only missed 17 minutes of Premier League games this season. Among Arsenal’s midfielders from Thomas Partey, Albert Sambi Lokonga, to Mohamed Elneny, Xhaka is the most senior player in the squad.
