Grieving news from the Moscow Lokomotiv Team during the Lockdown Period in Russia

DBasia.news – Young Lokomotiv Moscow defender, Innokenty Samokhvalov has died after being involved in an individual training session during the Corona virus lockdown in Russia. His death was announced through the team’s official account on social media.
Innokenty Samokhvalov underwent an exercise program designed to stay fit during the lockdown. However, the player had instead died.
“On April 20, defender Innokenty Samokhvalov has died. The football player fell ill during an individual training session. Details of the tragedy are being clarified,” Lokomotiv Moscow explained in an official statement.
“Innokenty Samokhvalov left behind a wife and a son. FC Lokomotiv was shocked by what happened. This is a great sadness for our family.”
Innokenty Samokhvalov has not made his senior team debut since joining the club in 2015. The 22-year-old player appeared in the reserve team in the third tier of Russian football competition.
“Kesha is a good person, likes to help, and a good friend. We are really surprised by what happened and express our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
Meanwhile, coach Kazanka Alexander Grishin said Samokhvalov’s death was due to heart problems. “This is terrible. Doctors say the cause of death is heart failure,” Grishin told Russian news agency, RIA Novos.
“If the doctor allowed him to practice, we must assume he has no problems,” he added.
Russia is one of the countries in Europe affected by the corona virus. Russia recorded deaths from the corona virus with up to 405 lives out of 47,121 cases. Meanwhile, 3,446 people has recovered.
