DBasia.news – Nicolas Otamendi is frustrated due to lack of game time in Manchester City. Apparently, he is not happy. Hence, the manager Pep Guardiola allows him to leave.

Nicolas Otamendi is one of Manchester City’s contributors in achieving the Premier League title last season. But, he’s currently only the option for John Stones and Aymeric Laporte.

Nicolas Otamendi is tired of Guardiola’s decision. He is looking for the new destination.

“He’s not happy – I don’t have an answer. When he plays he’s happy, when he doesn’t he’s not happy. But not just Otamendi, everybody. All of them.” Guardiola said cited by Standard.

“I don’t know what I can do. When he doesn’t play he’s not happy,”

“I don’t know what I can do. Be honest with myself and with them, for sure. I am. We would like to (keep him), but it depends on the players and the agents,” the manager revealed.

“I don’t want sad players here. I said now, during the transfer window, if you are not happy you knock on Txiki Begiristain’s door. We need to be enthusiastic and happy to be here and at the end of the season, they have to reflect on that.”

Nicolas Otamendi just played in the quarter-final of 2018-2019 Premier League. Guardiola admits the 30-year-old player has a declining performance. But, the Spaniard manager doesn’t want him to leave in the January transfer market.

“If maybe they don’t play, when it doesn’t happen they have to move, they have to leave. The only way to have success is to be happy in what you are doing. I know they are able to do it and I don’t have any complaints about that,” Guardiola explained.
