Harry Maguire still reluctant to watch the Euro 2020 final

DBasia.news – The failure of the England national team to win the 2020 European Cup has been imprinted in the mind of Harry Maguire. Manchester United’s defender was traumatized in remembering the final match.
Maguire became England’s mainstay in defense in the four-year tournament. He appeared solid to carry the Three Lions to the top of the party and challenged Italy.
England was favoured in the final match. In addition to appearing at home, goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has only conceded one goal until the semifinals.
That prediction seemed to have came true when Luke Shaw brought England ahead when the game was two minutes in. This condition puts Italy under pressure.
But the tragic ending must be felt England. Italy was able to equalize through Leonardo Bonucci’s action before locking the title on a penalty shootout.
Maguire actually played well in that match. He is also one of two British penalty takers who have successfully carried out their duties.
But this fact did not make Maguire feel comforted. He was still affected like any other English player.
“I haven’t watched it (Euro 2020 final). Just a few short videos and things you tagged,” Maguire told the FA’s official website.
“Maybe in the future I’ll sit back and watch the return journey from start to finish and the goals. But that’s something I want to avoid at the moment.”
Maguire was traumatized. But the appearance of the England national team at Euro 2020 was actually glorious.
Gareth Southgate’s was solid throughout the tournament. This is also the first time England were able to advance to the final in European Cup history.
