Health Minister Bans Welsh Supporters from Traveling to Holland

DBasia.news – Wales supporters will not be able to travel to the Netherlands to support their proud team in the last 16 clash. This was conveyed by the Minister of Health of Wales.
As second in Group A, Wales will face the runners-up in Group B. The match will be held at the Johann Cruyff ArenA on Saturday (26/6).
Health Minister Eluned Morgan said Amsterdam police would not allow supporters from Wales to enter. This is because the countries under the British Empire are not on the list of safe countries issued by the Dutch government.
On the other hand, the Netherlands is also included in the list of countries that cannot be visited by the British government.
“We have received instructions from the Amsterdam police who have informed them that they will not allow Welsh supporters into the country,” said Minister Morgan.
“And that means we will encourage you (supporters) to stay here and watch the game carefully.”
“If the local authorities come and ask us to set up a fan zone, then of course we as a government will consider it and publish guidelines on how it can be done in a safe manner.”
Previously, the Welsh government had also asked supporters not to go to Baku, Azerbaijan and Rome, Italy in the group matches. However, in reality, hundreds of Welsh fans still travel to Baku and Rome.
