DBasia.news – AC Milan failed to achieve the point in the home match. Milan got defeated 0-2 against Serie A temporary standing leader, Juventus.
Juventus dominated the match at 8′ by Mario Mandzukic’s heading. Milan got a golden opportunity to equalize the score at 40′ after the foul at Juventus penalty box.
Unfortunately, Higuain who was appointed as the executor failed to do his job. Juventus ended the match with two goals victory after Cristiano Ronaldo scored the goal at 81′.
With this result, Juventus lead the standing and Milan are in the fifth position.
After the match, Higuain apologized due to the failure to do his job as penalty executor. The 30-year-old player wants Rossoneri to move on.
“It was a particular episode, had I scored, the game would have changed. The important thing is to take responsibility, to know what went wrong. I promise it will not happen again,” Higuain explained.
“Now we have to look ahead, we will have two weeks of rest and then face Lazio for fourth place,” he continued.
Besides his failure to execute the penalty, Higuain also got a red card at 83′. “It seemed an unfair foul, I was fouled as far as I’m concerned. I was cautioned but I did not insult anyone. I apologized to the club, the fans, the coach and my companions because these episodes must be avoided.”
