Hit by the Issue of Dismissal, Ronald Koeman Boycotted the Press Meeting

By db-admin

DBasia.news – The tension in Barcelona’s body seems to be unable to be covered anymore. Ronald Koeman just boycotted his pre-match press conference against Cadiz

Barcelona will fight with Cadiz at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla, Friday (24/9) early morning WIB. This Wednesday (22/9) became Koeman’s opportunity to provide information to the media crew regarding the final preparations of his team.

Koeman also attended a press conference at Barcelona headquarters. But he had no intention of answering reporters’ questions.

The Dutch coach is aware that the coolies will ask more questions about the rumors of his dismissal. Koeman seems reluctant to respond to this.

Even so, Koeman did not just stand still. He gave a brief statement addressed to the management and supporters of Barcelona.

“The club stands with me as a coach in a situation to rebuild in the midst of the club’s financial problems. This means we as a team have to rebuild without having to make a large financial investment and it takes time,” said Koeman.

As is known, Barcelona is experiencing a very chronic financial crisis. This problem makes the Blaugrana have to sell a number of stars including Lionel Messi.

With a weakened squad, Koeman tried to bring Barcelona to stay on the path of champions. However, Memphis Depay and his friends failed to win in two consecutive matches in the Champions League and LaLiga.

Minor results that then heated rumors of Koeman’s dismissal. Joan Laporta as club president is reportedly looking for the right replacement.

“Today’s young talent could become the world’s next big star in just a few years. To reconstruct this team, young players have to get the opportunities that Xavi and Andres Iniesta had in their time.”

“But we ask everyone to be patient. This is a great football school for the talents we have.”

“With the process we are currently in, all staff and teams deserve unconditional support in word and deed. I know the press recognizes the process because this is not the first time in Barcelona’s history this has happened.”

Rumors of Koeman’s dismissal came out too prematurely. The season has just started and every team is still looking for the best form.

Changing coaches will make Barcelona’s transition period will be hampered. There is no guarantee the new coach can immediately improve the performance of El Barca.

In closing, Koeman asked the supporters for support. Fan pressure was indeed one of Laporta’s considerations for sacking.

“We are counting on your support in this difficult time. We are very happy with the incredible support from the fans like we got in the game against Granada,” he concluded.
