Hong Kong Rely on Naturalization Players in 2018 Asian Games

DBasia.news – The U23 Hong Kong national team will perform in the 2018 Asian Games with the naturalization players. Similarly, Indonesia send Stefano Lilipaly and Alberto ‘Beto’ Goncalves.
The U23 Hong Kong national team coach Kenneth Kwok Ka-lok confirmed this. Within the squad member, there are foreign players like Vasudeva Das Lilley Nunez (22), Fernando Recio Comi (35), and Jorge Tarres Paramo (37).
“We have 3 senior players and 2 of them are naturalization. They play in Spain previously, and the other is a local player,” Kenneth Kwok Ka-lok said.
“There are 2 naturalization players, above and below 23. The one below 23 just got Hong Kong passport, but he came from Hong Kong so he isn’t a naturalization player.”
“Many foreign players come to Hong Kong and become the citizen. We have 3 foreign players but originally came from Hong Kong,” he added.
One of the naturalization players is Fernando Recio. He was born in Barcelona and plays as the defender. He played for some Spanish clubs previously.
Fernando Recio Comi has been playing in Hong Kong since 2010. He got the citizenship in October 2017.
Jorge Tarres also started the career in Hong Kong since 2010 with Kitchee. Previously, he supported some Spanish clubs like Espanyol B. Jorge Tarres Paramo is a striker.
