How Erik ten Hag prepares his players for the 2022 World Cup

DBasia.news – In less than a month, the 2022 World Cup will begin. Some tips were given by Erik ten Hag for his players to be ready to face opponents in the match.
A number of stars are starting to fall and would most likely be absent from participating in the 2022 World Cup. Names such as Paulo Dybala, Angel Di Maria, Paul Pogba, Karim Benzema, to Raphael Varane are included in this list.
A precaution was taken by the Argentine national team. The South American nation’s football federation provided a message to the clubs where their players took shelter.
The content of the message is to ask the clubs to reserve the Argentine players in the last game before the competition break. This is so that they are fit for the World Cup.
Similar steps are likely to be taken by other participating countries as well. The 2022 World Cup which takes place in the middle of the competition is indeed a challenge in itself.
Ten Hag himself has quite a list of injured players in the Manchester United squad. But he insisted he would reject requests to reserve his players for the 2022 World Cup.
Ten Hag had good reasons for refusing the request. He believes that players need to continue playing to maintain their level.
“I think (resting players) is the wrong idea because they only have one week and then the World Cup starts. You have to keep the players fit and in the right condition,” Ten Hag said ahead of Manchester United’s match against FC Sheriff.
“Preparation (towards the World Cup) has been unoptimal. But it is something that national team managers have to deal with.”
The majority of Manchester United’s key players will almost certainly compete in the 2022 World Cup. Ten Hag wants them to be fit when they leave and come back.
