How Happy Frank Frank Lampard is to See Chelsea Youth in Action

DBasia.news – Chelsea’s 7-1 goal feast against Grimsby Town in Week three of the 2019-20 League Cup at Stamford Bridge on Thursday (9/26) early morning Western Indonesian Time.
Chelsea won through goals scored by Ross Barkley (4′), Michy Batshuayi (7′ and 86′), Pedro (penalty 43′), Kurt Zouma (56′), Reece James (82′), and Callum Hudson-Odoi (89′). Minimized by Matt Green’s goal in the 19th minute.
Marc Guehi, Billy Gilmour, Reece James, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Faustino Anjorin, Ian Maatsen, are some of the names of the young men who were revealed by Lampard in the match. Lampard was satisfied with their performance and asked for consistency to fight into the Chelsea first team.
“With the final results he made, Reece James has shown what he is capable of. Two assists and one goal, but his performance when loaned to Wigan last season has also shown the talent he has,” said Lampard on BBC Sport.
“I think he will be a great player in the future for Chelsea. This is just the beginning for him. I think Billy Gilmour has also managed the game from midfield and Marc Guehi is very solid at the back. They have been outstanding this year.”
“The young players coming on the bench have shown how comfortable they are playing with the ball. Now hard work must start so they can penetrate the first team regularly,” he added.
Nevertheless, there is an evaluation of Lampard from the defense of his team after conceding a Green goal in the 19th minute.
“In the first half, I wasn’t very happy with the match. Conceding one goal and making the score 2-1 was a disaster, because I showed them it was a big threat, and conceding made us a little nervous,” Lampard added.
“So it’s good for young players especially to see the little details, if you don’t watch the video we showed before the game and realize the danger, it can hurt you.”
“Everything went fine tonight because we won 7-1, but against Liverpool, we lost (1-2 at Stamford Bridge), because of the small details,” concluded the 41-year-old coach.
