DBasia.news – The corona virus pandemic has changed the ‘face of the world’ with the term ‘new normal’ or the existence of a new normal life with the presence of the Covid-19 virus in the surrounding environment. These changes has had a big impact on the world of football too.

In addition to financial impact without income from sales of merchandise, match tickets, and television broadcasting rights, football matches have become bland without the presence of spectators that is often called the 12th player in the match.

No one knows for sure when the pandemic would end and the situation of a football match without spectators will continue without a specified time.

2019-20 Premier League champions, Liverpool does not want the condition to continue until next season. No doubt they tried their best to bring fans at Anfield for at least a quarter or half of the stadium’s capacity.

According to Mirror’s information, Liverpool was inspired by a German technology called G2K that was used by Borussia Dortmund, a former club that Jurgen Klopp had trained for seven years.

On June 27, Dortmund tested it when competing against Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga match. The G2K technology is made in Berlin, Germany and uses artificial intelligence (AL) to examine the corona virus.

The Athletic assess Liverpool will speak with the G2K Company to try to implement it at Anfield next season. Like Liverpool, Dortmund also hopes to regain at least 30 percent of stadium capacity with the presence of fans next season.

Their presence is also under the auspices of social distancing rules and other protocols. G2K helps in checking temperature, masks, and also management of spectators inside the stadium.

G2K software specialists are also used for public transportation and shopping centers to adapt to the corona virus pandemic. Dortmund have used it against Hoffenheim with temperature checks on the media crew and club staff.

The example from Dortmund is expected to be applied at Anfield next season and fans are allowed to attend. As the presence of fans is crucial in burning enthusiasm and intimidating opponents.
