DBasia.news – Inter Milan will play against AC Milan on the Milan Derby on 9th-week of Serie A this season at Giuseppe Meazza, Monday (22/10).
The match won’t be far from the duel of two Argentinian strikers, Gonzalo Higuain and Mauro Icardi. Higuain is the key player of Milan with enormous experiences with Argentina national team.
Meanwhile, Icardi is La Beneamata’s captain and becomes their top scorer for recent seasons. His international experience isn’t as much as Higuain, but Icardi is acknowledged as the future of Albiceleste without Higuain, Sergio Aguero, and Lionel Messi.
“It’s the game the city most looks forward to. Of course, it’s only three points if you win, but the important thing is to play a great game and give consistency to what we’re doing. If we win, we’ll work better in the aftermath,” Icardi told Football-Italia.
“Milan have great players, with experience and who have been playing in Serie A for a long time. If I had to choose one I’d say Higuain because he scores so many goals. He’s what Milan were missing.”

So far, Icardi scored 5 goals from 8 matches of all competitions, meanwhile, Higuain scored 6 goals from 7 matches of all competitions. Icardi, 25, isn’t really thinking about public enthusiasm regarding his duel with Higuain.
“I don’t see a rivalry, he’s had a great career and he’s a great striker. We’ll be against each other in the game, but I’m calm and looking to do my best,” Icardi added.
“Can I score more goals than Higuain and Cristiano Ronaldo? I don’t like to talk about those things at the start of the season, I’ll try to give my contribution and then we’ll see in May,” he concluded.
