In Order to Get Declan Rice, Manchester United Are Ready to Defeat Chelsea

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Declan Rice reportedly rejected a contract extension offered by West Ham United. This situation made Chelsea and Manchester United prepared to maneuver to hijack Rice.

Rice is enjoying an impressive 2020-21 season, playing a key role as David Moyes’ side strive for a place in the Champions League.

The East Londoners ultimately failed to finish in the top four, but they still finished above local rivals Tottenham Hotspurs and Arsenal for a place in the Europa League.

The Hammers are reluctant to sell their midfielder who is currently with England at Euro 2020. The club made a contract offer that would keep Rice until 2024, with the option of an additional year.

Rice’s performances in the Three Lions’ midfield have put him back in the transfer market and he has asked to be informed of any contact between West Ham and interested clubs.

Chelsea have identified Rice as a long-term target, but the Blues deemed the player still too expensive in last summer’s transfer window.

Meanwhile, Manchester United, who have just signed Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, are considering a new central midfielder. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to secure some players to take the club to the next level.

Rice is currently valued at 50 million pounds. But the Hammers are expected to stay at £100m for the midfielder.
