Infected with Corona Virus, Eight Lazio Players absent in the Champions League

DBasia.news – The corona virus pandemic is reportedly attacking Lazio players. This made Il Biancocelesti’s preparations ahead of the second match in Group F of the 2020-2021 Champions League experiencing obstacles.
Lazio are scheduled to travel to Club Brugge’s headquarters at Jan Breydel Stadium, Thursday (29/10). Both teams will fight for the status of group winners because they both won in the previous match.
But Lazio had to lose eight players at once a day ahead of a match suspected of being due to the corona virus. The eight players in question are Ciro Immobile, Luis Alberto, Andreas Pereira, Lucas Leiva, Manuel Lazzari, Danilo Cataldi, Luiz Felipe and Thomas Strakosha.
The absence of eight players made Lazio’s last training session ahead of flying to Belgium only 12 people attended. Simone Inzaghi as the coach was forced to rack his brains to outsmart this condition.
“We have to go beyond the emergency. The main problem is that we cannot rotate the squad,” Inzaghi told Sky Sport Italia.
“It will be a different night than the others. But we have to play an important game against a team that won the first game, like us.”
There has been no official announcement regarding the certainty of the status of the eight players. It is possible that not all of them will be positive for the corona virus and this is only a precautionary step.
Lazio are back in the Champions League after a 13-year absence. The city rivals AS Roma marked his comeback by beating Borussia Dortmund.
The victory over Dortmund made Lazio’s chances to qualify from the group phase wide open. However, their current condition could threaten this ambition.
