Inspired by Marcus Rashford, Manchester United Will Hold Social Activities
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Manchester United looks inspired by Marcus Rashford who often provides food for underprivileged families. In addition, the players will also donate around 250 thousand pounds.
Manchester United helped provide about 80,000 servings of food during the Christmas period this year. The Red Devils is partnering with food charity organization FareShare, which organizes the Santa’s Red Helpers Christmas program.
In addition, Manchester United players will also donate around 250 thousand pounds for the action. It is hoped that this can trigger other contributions from Man United supporters to help the less fortunate.
So far, FareShare plans to donate 33 tons of food which is converted into 80 thousand portions. Later, the cooking process is carried out by the club chef in the kitchen at Old Trafford. Prepared food will be sent to children and families of foundation partners, food banks and external charities.
The rally follows a similar initiative in October when Manchester United prepared and distributed 5,000 meals to schools during recess. This was done in response to the corona virus pandemic.
“This is an inspiring and extraordinary operation. Manchester United is a great football club, but is committed to working within the community and the foundation to do an extraordinary job,” said Man United representative Denis Irwin.
Previously, a similar action was also carried out by Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford. As a result, Rashford received an award from the British Empire.
