Inter Milan CEO Confirms Diego Godin’s Arrival

DBasia.news – Diego Godin’s presence in Inter Milan next season is becoming a reality soon. Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta confirmed the player’s intention to join Nerazzurri.
The rumor of Diego Godin’s arrival to Inter Milan is trending lately. Moreover, Godin’s contract with Atletico Madrid would end on June 30, 2019.
Based on Bosman regulation, Diego Godin might negotiate with another club. Inter Milan are interested in signing the Uruguay defender.
Diego Godin might join Inter Milan when his contract ends. It means Godin could be the new player of La Benamata next season.
Giuseppe Marotta confirmed Inter Milan would sign Diego Godin. The former Juventus high-official admits he won’t waste the chance to sign the player like Godin.
“I have to underline that Inter have a very strong appeal, as many players are looking for us and agents knock on our door. This is flattering,” Giuseppe Marotta told DAZN.
“As it means we represent a reference point in the world of football. There are champions who present themselves, that we don’t want to let get away.”
“And Godin is one of them. We are ready to welcome such profiles and I want to underline that Godin will be a free agent in June,” Giuseppe Marotta added.
Diego Godin would support Inter Milan’s defensive line. Currently, Luciano Spalletti only depends on duet Stefan de Vrij and Milan Skriniar.
