Inter Milan Fans Reject Romelu Lukaku’s Desire to Return
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Romelu Lukaku has opened up the opportunity to return to Inter Milan in the near future. But the plan was flatly rejected by the Nerazzurri ultras.
Lukaku made a shocking confession in an interview with Sky Sports. He admitted that he was not happy at Chelsea and intends to return to Inter.
As is known, Lukaku caused an uproar in the summer transfer market by leaving Inter to accept Chelsea’s proposal. Transfer funds of 97.5 million pounds is a new record in the history of the Blues.

Lukaku’s transfer to Chelsea itself had caused controversy. Inter fans feel the player is a traitor and a mercenary.
Inter management admitted that the transfer was the player’s wish. Meanwhile, Lukaku admitted to leaving because of the financial crisis experienced by La Beneamata.
“I’m annoyed that the director didn’t even try to renew my contract (because of the financial crisis). I didn’t leave for the money, but the challenge to return to England where I didn’t win,” Lukaku told Sky Sports.
“Inter are always at heart. I really hope from the bottom of my heart to come back not at the end of my career, but when I’m still at the top level to win more titles together.”
This statement is a sign that Lukaku is no longer comfortable at Chelsea. It is not impossible that he will ask to be sold at the end of the season.
Inter’s opportunity to repatriate Lukaku is quite open if the acquisition by the Saudi Arabian consortium is completed soon. This makes city rivals AC Milan have unlimited transfer funds.
But Lukaku’s return was quickly denied by Inter Curva Nord’s ultras. They unfurled a banner with a satirical message to the person concerned outside the Giuseppe Meazza stadium.
“It doesn’t matter who runs in the rain, what matters is who survives the storm. See you Romelu,” the message read.
This attitude makes it difficult for Lukaku to return to Inter. Moreover, the team currently being handled by Simone Inzaghi has proven to be even more frightening without his presence.
