Inter Milan Finishes as Runner-ups in Serie A, Conte says his Club is still Behind Juventus
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Inter Milan appeared to have successfully cut the gap with the Serie A champions this season, Juventus. Nevertheless, Antonio Conte as the Nerazzurri coach feels that his team is still very far behind them.
Inter Milan won 2-0 when they visited Atalanta headquarters. These results ensured La Beneamata to finish second in the Serie A final standings. Inter collected 82 points or one point from Juventus.
Antonio Conte has not denied that Juventus are still the strongest team in Italy. Conte wants the Nerazzurri to continue to cut the quality distance from La Vecchia Signora.
“The players and staff deserves praise for reaching an amount that has not been seen at Inter Milan,” Conte told DAZN.
“There is still a distance from Juventus and that is a big gap. We must be smart and not go from depression to excitement because the feelings are too excessive in both directions.”
“I would say we did the task in Serie A. We grew up in the Coppa Italia by reaching the semifinals and now wanting to impress in the Europa League,” he added.
“Juventus won the ninth Scudetto in a row as they proved they are once again stronger. They are trying to improve, while others are trying to cut the distance.”
“The Bianconeri has infrastructure both on and off the pitch that are clearly better than others. Although, we are all trying to improve our abilities,” stated Conte.
Conte feels, all this time Inter Milan have always been the target of attacks. “My team is doing well. Although, in fact they are criticized as soon as there is an opportunity, as for me,” Conte continued.
Next, Inter Milan will face Getafe in the Europa League top 16 match on Thursday (6/8) AM.
