Inter Milan have once refused the arrival of Achraf Hakimi

DBasia.news –  According to a report from Corriere dello Sport, Inter Milan turned out to have refused the opportunity to recruit Achraf Hakimi, a Real Madrid player who was on loan at Borussia Dortmund.

Achraf Hakimi was the star when Borussia Dortmund defeated Inter Milan 3-2 on Matchday 4 Group F of the 2019-2020 Champions League, at Signa Iduna Park on Wednesday (6/11) early morning Western Indonesian Time. The movement of Hakimi from the right side is very difficult for Inter players.

At first, Borussia Dortmund was helpless after completing the first half by trailing 0-2. Two Nerazzurri goals were scored by Lautaro Martinez and Matias Vecino.

In the second half, a pair of Achraf Hakimi goals and a goal of Julian Brandt brought Borussia Dortmund back 3-2. In the end, the host took home three points.

Interestingly, with the addition of these two goals, Hakimi tops the list of Borussia Dortmund’s top scorers in the 2019-2020 Champions League. Previously, he had scored two goals when Dortmund faced Slavia Prague.

Apparently, long before the game, Inter Milan had a great chance to bring Achraf Hakimi who at that time was still defending Real Madrid. Los Blancos plans to loan the player to increase his flight hours.

However, Inter Milan rejected the idea because they were skeptical of Hakimi’s ability. In the end, the Nerazzurri preferred to bring in Atletico Madrid defender, Sime Vrsaljko.

Achraf Hakimi loaned by Real Madrid to Borussia Dortmund at the start of last season. The 21-year player has packed six goals plus two assists in various events.
