Inter Milan is advised to accept Chelsea’s offer regarding Lukaku due to finances

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Defending champion Serie A, Inter Milan has been faced with obstacles. A season after winning the Scudetto, Il Nerazzurri were actually faced with the challenge of holding back their best players.

The work of Giuseppe Marotta (CEO of Inter) and Piero Ausilio (Director of Sport of Inter) is not easy. Inter have lost Achraf Hakimi to PSG for a total fee of 71 million euros: 60 million euros plus 11 million performance-related bonuses.

Hakimi was Antonio Conte’s mainstay right wing-back last season. His speed and offensive power enlivened Inter’s right side of the game and Inter have yet to find a replacement.

Hakimi isn’t finished yet, now the ordeal comes from Chelsea. The Blues needed a goal-hungry striker and the aim fell to their former striker, Romelu Lukaku who is currently playing for Inter.

Three offers from Chelsea have been rejected by Inter and most recently, Chelsea offered Marcos Alonso plus 100 million euros in cash to sign the 28-year-old striker. It was rejected but Chelsea haven’t given up.

Reportedly Chelsea will return with an offer of 130 million euros. An interesting amount. It is believed that Inter Football-Italy should accept the offer, as there is a reason they still need additional funding.

In addition to the financial sector that has been affected by the corona virus pandemic, the money from Lukaku’s sales can be used to fix several areas. Marotta and Ausilio confirmed earlier that Inter needed 80 million euros from the summer transfer window and cut players’ salaries by 20%.

From the sale of Hakimi there is still nine million euros remaining, it can be covered immediately if Lukaku is sold to Chelsea. How much Inter needs can be seen on how they have not recruited a replacement for Hakimi, despite being linked with Hector Bellerin and Denzel Dumfries.

The latest news, Lukaku has asked Inter to accept Chelsea’s offer. If it is accepted, Inter will indeed lose two valuable players, Hakimi and Lukaku, but their finances are ‘safe’ and can be improved by signing other players.

Selling Other Players

Another way for Inter to balance the balance sheet is to sell or sell those who are not part of Simone Inzaghi’s plans.

Some of those names are Joao Mario, Arturo Vidal, Radja Nainggolan, Ionut Radu, and Dalbert Henrique. Inter are slowly trying to solve it.

Mario has been terminated after the complicated problems between Benfica and Sporting Lisbon, as well as Dalbert who went to Cagliari on a loan scheme plus a purchase option.

However, Radu has yet to find a new club and now Inter have four goalkeepers, then there is also Vidal who is expected to accept Flamengo’s proposal, and Nainggolan who is eager to return to Cagliari.
