DBasia.news – Inter Milan is starting to prepare for the loss of its mainstay striker, Lautaro Martinez. The Nerazzurri entered a number of names as potential replacements for the Argentine striker.
Lautaro Martinez’s contract will expire in June 2023. In that contract, there is a release clause worth 111 million euros which can only be activated by foreign clubs and takes effect in the first two weeks of July.
Aware of Lautaro’s important role, Inter tried to increase the striker’s tenure. However, it has been challenging as there are differences in supply and demand. Reportedly, Inter are only willing to give a salary of 4.5 million euros per season, while Lautaro is asking for 6.6 million euros per season.
The stagnant contract extension process has also madeArsenal and Atletico Madrid glance. Both clubs are rumored to want to bring in Il Toro in the transfer market this summer.
According to news circulating in Italy, Inter have no objections to selling Lautaro. However, the offer submitted must be at a high price.
At the same time, Inter didn’t want to be stuck in a difficult situation as they didn’t have a replacement for Lautaro. Reportedly, Lazio’s attacking midfielder, Joaquin Correa entered as a potential replacement candidate along with the spearhead of Sassuolo, Giacomo Raspadori.
Lazio reportedly had no objection in selling the Argentine national team player this summer. However, the offer should not be less than 30 million euros.
Meanwhile, the hypothesis that Lautaro will last another year without a contract extension has also surfaced. Later, La Beneamata sell Lautaro in the summer of next year. After that, Inter will hunt for Fiorentina striker, Dusan Vlahovic.
